This course will explore methods for using the silkscreen process to produce one-of-a-kind prints and/or variable prints in a rapid manner. Water-activated crayons, monoprint inks, as well as traditional screen inks will all be used in conjunction with stencils, tapes, and screen drawing fluid to give a unique, selectively colored effect to an image. Participants familiar with the flat colors often associated with screen-printed posters will be amazed at the subtleties and surprises that can come from this process, as well as the spontaneity that enters this creative approach to screen.
