M:$90 NM: $105, Materials: $30
Includes 6 hours of FREE studio time
Take a journey through the natural world with Artists Len Merlo and Rachel Heberling, and discover new ways of finding compositions for your work. Beginning with an exploration of the grounds surrounding Frontline Arts, participants will draw in their sketchbooks and collect interesting samples from nature. We’ll then explore dynamic compositions from multiple angles and return to the studio to create monotypes using non-toxic Akua inks. Basic press operation will be taught along with foolproof registration systems for layering. We will use both direct ink application as well as reductive mark-making with found textures.
This class is open to all skill levels, and is a great way to develop compositions and imagery for any artistic work.
This class is FULL! You can sign up for the waitlist.
