In this one day workshop you will learn to make a photographic solar plate etching. This is a non-toxic alternative to plate making using a UV Exposure unit. Plates are processed using only water, no acid is used. Participants will print or submit digital photo files which will be sized and adjusted if necessary. Artists will create etched photographic prints and will be encouraged to alter their transparencies to create unique photographic imagery using a variety of media and tools. Proofs and a small unique edition will be printed.
