Q: Who can submit work to the annual Members’ Exhibition?

A: Members who are Individual/Student/Senior/Veteran Artist level and above can submit to the Members’ Exhibition. The only membership tier that cannot submit to the Member’s Exhibition is the Arts Supporter membership tier.

Q: Do I have to submit new work to the annual Members’ Exhibition?

A: No, you do not have to submit brand-new work to the Members’ Exhibition. The work just has to have been made within the past 2 years and not been shown in a Frontline Arts exhibition yet.

Q: Is this a juried exhibition?

A: No, this is not a juried exhibition. Members submit 3 pieces of work for the selection committee to choose from, and everyone who submits gets at least one piece into the exhibition.

Q: Is the theme very strict?

A: No, the theme is not very strict. The theme, "homecoming," can be interpreted very liberally. Returning home to Frontline Arts after this period of closures, opening up the exhibition space again, returning to some degree of normalcy is all part of the theme and we are so excited to see how you interpret the theme with your work!

Q: Is there a virtual option if I live too far away?

A: Yes, there is a virtual option! Simply check “This is a virtual submission” on each virtual submission and we will display virtual work on our website and on a monitor in the exhibition space.

Q: What kind of media is accepted into the Members’ Exhibition?

A: Original works in disciplines including traditional printmaking, works on or utilizing handmade paper, book arts, and works on paper will be accepted into the Members’ Exhibition. Digital reproductions of work previously created in other media will not be accepted.
