Typesetting for Beginners with Len Merlo & Mike Stark

In this one day workshop, participants will dive into learning how to hand set wood and metal letterpress type from Frontline Art's collection to create individualized prints on our Vandercook Universal 1 press and well as learn how to hand print on our Vandercook Model 0 galley press and Nolan No. 1 proof press. Students will each use their own chase, type and various assorted cuts to lock up their form for quick and fast printing on all three presses. If you have ever been curious about letterpress printing, this is the class for you!
All experience levels welcome, beginners encouraged!
